Mission Suraksha is a comprehensive initiative aimed at ensuring the safety, protection, and holistic development of children in society. The mission seeks to build a responsive ecosystem where every stakeholder government departments, institutions, communities, and individuals work collaboratively to prevent exploitation, child marriage, trafficking, abuse, and neglect.
By integrating efforts across multiple sectors such as the Education Department, Health Department, Women & Child Development Department, Police Department, Legal Services, and Local Governance, Mission Suraksha promotes a safe, empowered, and inclusive environment for children.

Re-integrating school dropouts into the education system and securing their future.

It gives me immense pride to launch Mission Suraksha, a flagship initiative of the Shivamogga District Administration aimed at ensuring the safety, dignity, and holistic development of every child in our district.
Mission Suraksha reflects our collective commitment to building a safe, inclusive, and responsive society where every child can live free from fear, violence, and discrimination.
Through strong departmental convergence, community awareness, and effective monitoring, this mission seeks to prevent child marriage, trafficking, child labour, and gender-based violence — while ensuring rehabilitation and empowerment of victims.
Our vision is to create a District of Safety and Dignity, where protection becomes everyone’s responsibility — from families to institutions and from villages to city governance.
I appeal to all departments, local bodies, frontline workers, and the public to join hands in realizing the goals of Mission Suraksha and make Shivamogga a model district for the protection and empowerment of children.

Mission Suraksha is a transformative step towards building a protective and empowered society where every child and woman can lead a life of dignity, security, and opportunity.
As the implementing arm at the grassroots, the Zilla Panchayat, Shivamogga plays a crucial role in translating the vision of Mission Suraksha into reality through effective convergence of departments, Panchayat-level initiatives, and community participation.
The mission’s strength lies in its collective ownership from Gram Panchayats, Anganwadi Centres, SHGs, School Teachers, ASHAs, PDOs, and frontline functionaries who serve as the foundation of child protection.
Our goal is not only to prevent child marriage, trafficking, and violence but also to create awareness, provide timely support, and promote rehabilitation through coordinated efforts at the local level.
I call upon all stakeholders—officials, community leaders, and citizens—to extend wholehearted cooperation to this mission. Together, let us ensure that Shivamogga stands as a model district of protection, equality, and social well-being.
